A trainload of shipping containers, most with either no or very small logos, bound for New York NY heads east in BNSF train Z-LACNYC9-07. As usual in the Twenty-First Century, the train is powered by an assortment of General Electric cookie-cutter diesels: ES44AC 8118, ES44C4 4211, ES44AC 5802, ES44C4 6509 and Dash 9-44CW 5032 (the senior engine among these five, having been built in July 2004). The train is passing the relatively new Malden Station Apartments, built on the site of the old Donald Duck Orange Juice plant. Homogeny rules in today’s railroading.
