California Western GP9 65 brings three covered hoppers to Goshen Junction. This is the San Joaquin Valley Railroad’s Goshen Sub, and the SJVR has borrowed this engine for a while – it was back to work on home rails between Fort Bragg and Willits by 1994. Built by EMD in October 1954 as Southern Pacific subsidiary Texas & New Orleans as T&NO 416, this Geep was later renumbered SP 3428, then SP 3411, before being sold to the KYLE as their 1758. Kyle then sold it to California Western, where it received this attractive paint scheme and a new number: 65. (Goshen, California – March 6, 1992)
Not
