The speed limit on Anaheim’s Santa Ana Street is 25 miles-per-hour, but the speed limit on Union Pacific’s Santa Ana Industrial Lead, laid in the middle of the street, is considerably slower – just 10 mph. Which explains why that white Honda so handily overtook nine-car UP local LOA32, powered by GP60 1064 (ex-UP 1909, née-SP 9607) wearing well-worn wings on its nose, trundling down the street on its way industries in Santa Ana. The gallon jug of Valvoline sitting on the walkway gives one pause as to the age of this venerable Geep, at this point 32½ years old and, perhaps, needing additional lubrication at some point.
