As the Big Boy clicked off the last few miles to the layover Fairbury, the light got to be pretty tough for an eastbound on the Marysville Sub. The train rolls along Alexandria Lake as the crowd pours into this little state park. The host said, "hopefully the warden doesn't show up!" None of us payed to get in, but good luck with that task! Just another circus show for steam! The train would layover at Fairbury tonight before the trip into KC the next day. Even in the tough light, the steamer still looks good!
