A Pair Along The Nose. The weather was warm and leaves were colorfully blossoming on the trees as a pair of MTA Metro-North Railroad coach trains passed just south of the Bear Mountain Bridge near Anthony's Nose in Cortlandt, New York on April 20, 2021. On the far track, P32AC-DM 231 (New Have Tribute) is heading towards Poughkeepsie, New York while sister unit 209 is being controlled from the cab car at the other end of the train and is heading towards Grand Central Terminal in New York, New York. Spring time is wonderful, but there is are bad seasons to visit the Hudson Valley for scenery!
With three lines radiating north out of Grand Central Terminal plus service to Port Jervis on the former Erie, Metro North covers a wide swatch of New York's northern suburbs with varying terrains.
