Pullman On The Water Level. On the afternoon of April 20, 2021, an unusual consist with sandwiching FRA DOTX 221 crosses Croton Bay near the Hudson River in Croton-On-Harmon, New York with MNCW 208 (P32AC-DM) leading and MNCW 128 (BL20GHM) trailing. The car was transported around MTA Metro-North Railroad for a week to inspect track on its lines. Part of Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP), it was built for Canadian National by Pullman in 1954. Although it presently sports a Pennsylvania Railroad style paint scheme, it never operated for the Pennsy.
