| On a gloomy morning in Montvale, Virginia Norfolk Southern manifest freight 18M rolls east as it crosses the bridge over the Lynchburg Salem Turnpike and slows as it approaches the next control point to let Amtrak pass. In the lead is a pair of SD70M-2's, which have recently been reactivated from storage to meet locomotive demand. |
