The KLW SE24B is a low-emissions diesel switcher locomotive built by Knoxville Locomotive Works, powered by a single MTU Series 4000 12V R54 (TIER 3) diesel engine which develops a total power output of 2,400 horsepower (1,790 kW). California's San Joaquin Valley Railroad, a Class III shortline, has six of these locomotives on their roster, numbered SJVR 2405 to 2510. Sitting in the railroad's facility in Fresno is SE24B 2408, which was constructed on the frame of the former CSXR 2GS14B 1318. All the effort put into the paint job was for naught, however, as others felt that they could improve it. *sigh* (Fresno, California – June 14, 2024)
