A B-36 extra local crew is waiting for a warrant after a westbound empty ethanol train just finished setting out power for them at Lawler. Once this crew gets a warrant they will then pull 98 loads out of the Homeland Energy Solutions LLC ethanol plant and DP the train. This plant is located near MP 63 on the CP Mason City Sub in northern Iowa. DP-ing trains has been on and off for little over a year on this subdivision, but the crew had many issues today getting this train put together and DP-d. With 98 loads, and the grade at Calmar, trains can not run conventional due to the knuckle strength. If all the power is on the head end, then forces can exceed the strength of the knuckles.
