While shooting Amtrak at Chillicothe, we overheard this local having alot of issues on the radio while working Cargill Spur at Eddyville. Sounded like they were having problems pulling the grade out of the Cargill Yard down to the Ottumwa Sub Main. We went over to check it out, and when we got there the conductor told the engineer, "we left 35, now try 10-4." Away they went and down to the crossing on the spur we waited. The local grinded for a good 10 minutes up to this crossing on the spur and sound of the 60's whining sounded great. This local would do more picking up at Ottumwa, about 20 miles to the east. Surprised how much traffic there was coming out of here, and the diversity of it.
