A visit to the Santa Fe Railway’s Redondo Junction Roundhouse on a typically overcast southern California day allowed a visit to a lot of locomotives that would not be in service for much longer, such as F7s and, as seen here, Alco switchers. ATSF S2 2333 was built by the American Locomotive Company in October 1943, and would continue to serve the AT&SF until July 1976. (Los Angeles, California – March 10, 1973).
