BNSF Railway train O-BARSDG1-05A, a deadheading 16-car Officer Special, crosses over the "mighty" Santa Ana River – which, let's face it, puts the Mississippi River to shame – as the train makes its way from Barstow to San Diego in the late afternoon. A trio of the Railway's 25th Anniversary engines – 5828, 6017 and 6163 – are powering this train, which consists of, for those who obsess over such things, of cars BNSF 32 William B Strong, BNSF 31 Carl R Ice, BNSF 11 Fred Harvey, BNSF 10 Lake Superior, BNSF 1 Gerald Grinstein, BNSF 64 Marias Pass, BNSF 65 Raton Pass, BNSF 60 Stevens Pass, BNSF 4 Missouri River, BNSF 67 Trinchera Pass, BNSF 6 Topeka, BNSF 63 Glorieta Pass, BNSF 51 Mt Rainier, BNSF 53 Mt San Antonio, BNSF 69 Eagle Pass and BNSF 66 Cajon Pass. Once across the river, the train will be in the city of Orange. (Anaheim, California – February 5, 2022). The schedule for this train's run on Sunday (2/13/22) is that the train will depart San Diego at 7:00 am, and is due to arrive at Commerce (a bit southeast of downtown Los Angeles) at 10:00 am.
