An eight-car Bay Area Rapid Transit train stops at the El Cerrito Plaza Station, and will shortly depart for Richmond. BART C1 car 347 leads this train, The C1s were built by Alstom from 1987-1989, and unlike the earlier Rohr A cars, these can be used on the head end of midtrain. This particular train, in fact, is comprised of early A cars (there is one on the rear) and B cars (such as the second car), as well as C1 cars midtrain (that yellow car is a C1 with an advertising wrap on it). They all match so well it can be difficult to distinguish them from a distance, as in this photo. (El Cerrito, California – June 15, 2018)
