Reading Company RS-3 467, built by the American Locomotive Company in May 1952, was sold to the Peabody Coal Company. It was later purchased – and restored – by the Reading Historical Society. This engine is stored at the Steamtown National Historic Site, and is often displayed with freight cars of the same era, as seen here on a crisp early autumn morning. In the background is power belonging to the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad, with DL C-425 2461 (ex-DL 811, ex-BCOL 811, originally EL 2461) coupled to three other ALCOs.
