At Hagerstown, the motors of WW train 86 cut away and turn on the "Y". The motors then coupled to the rear of their train and shoved their cars into NS's Vardo Yard.

WW GP-9 #517 entering Millville Yard to pick up it's train passes CSXT GP 40-2 #4429 before heading back to Bridgeton.
I'm guessing it gets pretty hot in the cab of a high hood RS11 in July!
The surrounding Virginia jungle encroaches upon the "Sand Man" as he continues his slow trip to Winchester and the CSX interchange.
This was an easy chase - just follow the smoke!
The loaded "Sand Man" belches a bit of smoke while crossing Route 50 with his train of covered hoppers.
Spilled sand lines the right-of-way at Gore while ALCO smoke permeates the air.
I believe this old CV unit was used as a parts source for the W&W's ALCO fleet.
Two of the W&W's venerable ALCOs are ready to tie down at Gore after arriving on an empty train of sand hoppers.
