Returning to Roanoke with the third and final Radford excursion of 2015, I caught this pan shot of 611 across a field.

Pounding up the grade she was designed and built to conquer, the Spirit of Roanoke leads the Powhatan Arrow eastbound, approaching Blue Ridge Summit.

The Norfolk & Western Class J 611 put on one heck of a show as she splits the classic N&W Blue Ridge CPLs just east of Roanoke leading the Powhatan Arrow toward Lynchburg.
