Norfolk and Western class J 611 is leaving Atlanta on the second leg of its return to Roanoke, Va. under steam for he first time. The train had run from Birmingham the day before.
Norfolk and Western class J 611 crosses the Tallapoosa River in western Georgia just east of the Alabama state line. This was 611's inaugural run to Atlanta after having been restored.
