Normal power on the Day Falls Turn was GP7/GP9 or F units, so a pair of newer GP35's was a real treat for both the photographer and the crew.
Big horsepower for the day, a U33C leads an SD45 for the EL.
SD45 #3619 and GP35's #2565 & 2551 are westbound, elephant style, a few miles out of Bison Yd.

Four E8 and a couple of SD45-2 wait to grab their trains for a trip west during the last weeks of the EL.
Luckily this wasn't the mainline. An RS-3 is working at Marion in the weeks before Conrail.
EL geeps 1237 and 1231 have Penn Central GP-35 2380 for company in this early Conrail scene.
