J & J Rail SW1 #1 working at Hardin, KY in 1984. This line became the Hardin Southern later in its life. This SW1 was built in April 1940 as Milwaukee #1622.

This unit is usually tucked away from photographers in a nearby steel mill but it came in for some work. This is the only KXHR SW-1 in KXHR colors.

1939-built Lehigh Valley 112 finally arrives onto Black River & Western where she will be restored to her original appearance by PENNSY RAILCAR RESTORATIONS LLC.
