Many of the crossing flashers were not yet in service, requiring the AVR crew to flag each crossing. If not for this practice we would not have been able to chase this job.
One of the first AVR trains to use the ex-CSX P&W Sub north of Pittsburgh exits the Glenshaw Tunnel. The crew was aware that we were going to flash them coming out of the tunnel. :)
